Need a Resolution? How About Creating an Estate Plan?

With a New Year comes New Year’s Resolutions! Every year, people set lofty goals for themselves, most of which will dissipate or crash and burn by the second week of January. Oh well, better luck next year, right? Some things are too important to wait for another year to tackle.

Set a Goal you Can Attain

Not only is Estate Planning important, it’s easily attainable. You’re the only obstacle in your way. You don’t have to get up early and sweat. You don’t have to deprive yourself of delicious foods. You don’t have to put a music playlist together to get yourself pumped to do it (well, maybe some of you will…). Most of the work is done by the lawyer. Sit back and relax.

Start the Process Now, Don’t Wait

Just make the call (or the email) and get the process started. It’s like the saying goes about the lottery – “you can’t win if you don’t play”; well, if you don’t get the process started you can’t get your affairs in order.

Start the year off with a huge accomplishment – you’ll set the stage for other victories throughout the year.
